![]() ![]() “I don't think my interpretation will change - they hired the same actor. ![]() I just think it's maybe a different period of his life,” he said. “I don't think it's a different character. In any case, Cox walked this back somewhat on the press tour for his MI6 thriller Treason, telling iNews that he doesn't think this version of Daredevil is different to the guy in the Netflix series. It's a perfect title.” Emphasis on “another." That certainly sounds like reinterpretative territory but, despite reports suggesting otherwise (including IGN's own headline), it's too ambiguous to be taken as concrete confirmation. Speaking to IGN at the D23 Expo last September, Cox said: “You know, we made the show, it ended, years passed, and we're making another show. We've heard different takes on this one, but reports largely point towards it being a soft reboot of the story already told in Netflix's Daredevil series. Will Daredevil: Born Again continue the Netflix series, or reboot Daredevil's story entirely? At the moment, it's unclear whether those roles have been nixed for this iteration of the story or whether the pair have been recast. The pair were instrumental in the first run of the property, along with the original comic book lore, as they bridge together Matt's daytime life as a lawyer and nighttime work as New York's vigilante superhero. Two people who won't be back for Daredevil: Born Again, however, are Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll, who plays Matt Murdoch's cohorts Foggy Nelson and Karen Page. Are we reading too much into that? Probably, but hey, who's to tell? Innocuous enough, sure, but she's wearing a Daredevil t-shirt in the now-expired images. Speculation really kicked off earlier this year, when Ritter posted workout selfies on her Instagram story (h/t ScreenRant). Could that mean…? She even refers to him as “Power Man," a Luke Cage moniker from the comics. Both actors starred in The Defenders alongside Cox, a short-lived Avengers-esque crossover series featuring all the Netflix-Marvel mainstays - and Ritter recently shared Instagram stories of her with Colter in LA. Elsewhere, rumours spin of returns for Krysten Ritter, who played Jessica Jones, and Mike Colter, the star of Luke Cage. ![]()
