I suspect I must have missed something here. How do you protect the public gateway from "malicious" use? (=What hinders 3rdPartyServerX on pushing through your gateway?) Please note: I did NOT generate a key on the google page, because I assume, your playstore app uses your gcm key and so only your server can push your app (that was the reason, why I assumed no own key is needed?). My administrative settings within "Push":ĭebug: False (if I enable that, I see Push: "Send message myuser" via query " and used gcm ids) 1 for iPhone and iPad (Require iOS 11.0 or Later): Rocket.Chat is a free Social Networking App: The ultimate chat platform. If I manually trigger the "notification test" from within the app settings (=local test) on the phone, everything works as expected also the server administration setting tells me that 2 devices had been pushed (I already cleared the app data on the phone once and relogged in after that "clean-slate-state" so thats why two devices: my old session must still be active, but thats NOT the problem everything fine with that.) after I triggered "SEND A TEST PUSH TO MY USER" (before wipe I saw "1 devices pushed", so I guess at least there is information about the mobile session).īut the phone does not show any push notification, even after one hour of waiting. (, )įor iOS you need an apple developer account which I don't have, and don't plan on getting because it costs 99$ per year and so I haven't looked into it much, but maybe this can help:
